Kia Ora yoga classes are FREE to our members. Kia Ora offers traditional formats of Vinyasa, Ashtanga and mat Pilates detailed below. Kia Ora also offers Les Mills BODYBALANCE which integrates yoga, Pilates and elements of Tai Chi blended to music.
Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together moving from one to another, seamlessly, using Ujjayi Breath or nose breathing to promote relaxation. The variable nature of Vinyasa Yoga helps to develop a more balanced body as well as prevent repetitive motion injuries.
Ashtanga yoga is a set sequence of asanas. Ashtanga centers on a vigorous physical practice that includes a series of poses linked together with breath to form a continuous sequence.
Mat Pilates is a way to stretch and strengthen your body, primarily the muscles of the core, which span from your hips to your shoulders. It borrows from disciplines such as dance, yoga, and classic calisthenics.
